According to a statement from the California Highway Patrol (CHP), at 10:38 p.m. on June 27, officers responded to northbound Highway 101, south of the Arata Lane exit in Windsor for reports of a person laying in the roadway.

At 6 p.m. tonight, June 29, there will be a special closed session meeting of the Windsor Town Council to conference with legal counsel over the lawsuit filed last week, stating that during an incident with Windsor police in July 2019 La’Marcus McDonald’s civil rights were violated. McDonald’s suit names the town of Windsor, three individual police officers, the county of Sonoma and Sonoma County Sheriff Mark Essick.

Sonoma County teachers gathered in their cars for a demonstration circling the Sonoma County Office of Education (SCOE) on June 26, demanding safe social distancing conditions for the return to in-class instruction this fall.
