Alliance Medical Center to hold free flu shot clinics

The Alliance Medical Center is holding a series of free flu shot clinics in Healdsburg and Windsor over the next two weeks at various locations. The flu shots are free to everyone. Attendees must adhere to public health safety protections by wearing facemasks and practicing social distancing as directed by Alliance staff.

County library launching memory archive for 2020

The Sonoma County Library recently launched an online archival project meant to catalog the experience of living in the odd times of 2020. The project, titled “Sonoma Responds” is meant to encapsulate peoples’ experiences living through COVID-19, the Black Lives Matter movement and other various impacts on daily life.

EDB launches business grant, asks for community input on economic recovery

Following numerous ongoing blows to Sonoma County’s local economy, the Sonoma County Economic Development Board (EDB) is working on putting together a Sonoma County Economic Recovery Plan, at the request of the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors. Additionally, the development board is preparing to launch a small business stabilization grant for local small businesses who are looking for COVID-19-related recovery help.

Fire Weather Watch issued for this weekend

The National Weather Service has issued a Fire Weather Watch for this coming weekend. The watch will be in effect from Saturday morning, Sept. 26 at 11 a.m. through Monday, Sept. 28 at 8 a.m. Areas under the watch include North Bay mountains, East Bay hills and interior valleys.

Cloverdale council candidate forum this Thursday

The Cloverdale Chamber of Commerce is hosting a virtual forum for Cloverdale City Council candidates this Thursday, Sept. 24 at 7 p.m. and will last for a maximum of 90 minutes. The forum will be hosted over Zoom as a ‘webinar.’
