Don't drive buzzed. "2:54pm A vehicle was stopped on Piper Street at Center Street for violating registration rules. A 38-Year-Old (YO) man was cited and released for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine, driving without a license and lacking proof of insurance. A 47-YO man was cited and released for misuse of license and registration documents, violation of probation, violation of vehicle registration rules, violation of the open container law, and on outstanding Sonoma County warrants regarding driving with a license suspended for driving under the influence (DUI) and driving without a required ignition interlock device...."

Healdsburg’s Measure H, a measure that seeks to alter some of the language in the city’s Growth Management Ordinance (GMO) to allow for the sale in addition to the rental of a number of income-restricted units, projected to pass Tuesday night with 65.60% of the “yes” votes and 34.40% of the “no” votes according to the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters. 

On the Nov. 6 ballot, there will be six candidates vying for three spots on the Cloverdale City Council. The city council election comes around every other year and is on a rotating election schedule (of the five council spots, two were elected during the last city council election and three are being elected this year); during the 2016 election, Councilmembers Melanie Bagby and Mary Ann Brigham were voted into office.

As part of its Child Nutritional Program, Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin, is providing lunch to all local children age 18 and under, at its Brooks Road Clubhouse, 9640 Brooks Road South in Windsor. This is an essential function for the community and will begin effective Monday, June 22. “Grab & Go” meals will be served curbside by Boys & Girls Club staff, starting at 11:30 a.m. and ending at 12:30 p.m. in the parking lot in front of Boys & Girls Clubs, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Monday and Wednesday “Grab & Go” meals will include two breakfasts, two lunches and two snacks. Friday “Grab & Go” meals will include one breakfast, one lunch and one snack.   

The Rotary Club of Windsor hosted its candidate forum for town council and mayoral candidates on Sept. 17, but this time instead of the normal in-person format, it took place over Zoom. The host, as in year’s past, was Maureen Merrill and a timekeeper was present on the Zoom to keep people’s answers time appropriate.
