Decker to take the reins at WUSD
At the April 21 meeting of the Windsor Unified School District Board of Trustees, the board voted to approve the contract that would bring Jeremy Decker to the district as the new superintendent starting July 1. Current superintendent Brandon Krueger announced his retirement earlier this year. The meeting was conducted over Zoom and livestreamed on Facebook.
Green Dog of the Week: Skoll!
Wow...talk about a tough first 8 months of life! Skoll was found by Sonoma County Animal Services in March 2019 with blunt head trauma and a fractured jaw. While the county was helping this great guy heal, he came down with several treatable, but frustrating, health concerns. The county took care of his injuries and ailments and Green Dog brought him home to our facility. He's a gorgeous Siberian Husky who has one brown and one blue eye. He was adopted in September, but was found for sale on Craigslist in November and we got him back.

Public life goes dark
A month ago, all of Sonoma County’s “public life” was put off limits. No schools, locked parks, barricaded beaches, no dining out or casual shopping trips. Gathering places where conversations and friendships get shared are taboo. Libraries, coffee shops, brewpubs, art galleries and any space smaller than six feet square, are now officially declared uninhabitable.
