Local governments are struggling to find ways to increase the number of homes being built in west county ā affordable homes in particular ā but increasing the amount of housing stock in ways that donāt damage the environment or the character of the towns in which theyāre built is a tall order.

Chanukah celebration
CHAG SAMEACH ā The Sonoma County Chabad Jewish Center hosted a menorah lighting in Healdsburg on Sunday night, Dec. 29. The lighting marked the last night of Hannukah.
