Local law enforcement tracks down local crime. For instance, a truck spun donuts on the side of the freeway before driving toward Healdsburg Avenue at Alexander Valley Road. The driver got out of the vehicle. Officers responded and arrested a 43-YO man for DUI. He was brought to county jail.
City to consider COVID response measures
As the COVID-19 pandemic wears on, the Healdsburg City Council agreed Monday night, Aug. 3, to explore several virus response actions such as eviction protection, civil fines for not observing public health orders, retail assistance, utility bill relief, child care programs and encouraging bicycle and pedestrian use.

What’s it like losing the last half of your senior year?
In a bathroom stall on the 25th of January my life changed forever. I was at the Phoenix Theater for the first time, an old, local punk and rock and hip hop joint that has witnessed some of the greats including The Ramones, Green Day and Sublime. I was there for my friend’s band’s first show, and halfway through the show I found myself alone in a broken stall, overwhelmed with a strange and unwelcome anxiety. I pressed my back against the door and stared at the wall above a toilet seat cover dispenser, gazing at the legacy of teen angst scrawled across the walls. And then I saw it, on the green wall in all caps: “DONT WAIT TILL FRIDAY! BE ALIVE NOW!”

Sonoma County missed being a candidate for moving into the red tier of the state’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy by 0.1%, according to Sonoma County Board of Supervisors Chair Lynda Hopkins, and now county health officials say the county may be able to move into the red and out of the most restrictive purple tier by next week, depending on county metrics.
