Lower Russian River curtailments could impact Healdsburg’s Dry Creek water right
Healdsburg utility officials say they expect to see more lower Russian River water restrictions as early as next week, which would affect the city’s Dry Creek water right. The possibility comes from curtailment issued earlier this week for nearly 1,500 pre- and post-1914 upper Russian River water right holders.

Vandalism was reported at Healdsburg Community Center on Healdsburg Avenue. An unknown vehicle did “donuts” in the grass field and caused over $4,000 of damage. No suspect has been identified.
Chanukah celebration
CHAG SAMEACH — The Sonoma County Chabad Jewish Center hosted a menorah lighting in Healdsburg on Sunday night, Dec. 29. The lighting marked the last night of Hannukah. Rabbi Mendel Wolvovsky (left) led candle-holding attendees in Hannukah prayer as he lit Chabad’s large, traveling menorah.
Four people arrested for City Park burglary
Cloverdale police apprehended four people — one adult and two juveniles — Tuesday morning, after receiving a call that somebody was in the Scout Hut at City Park with the lights on.
Experiencing Amour with Eyes Open
I was avoiding Amour, the movie. I’d seen enough previews to know the story line and it frightened me. For a while I was saying I’d sooner see a Die Hard movie than Amour. And I’d have to be dragged to one of those brutal movies. And then sit through most of it with my eyes closed and then rant about Hollywood glorifying violence.
