Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds shelter full, evacuees camp in cars
As the sun came up over the Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds with the thick smell of smoke in the air, people camping in their cars were starting to stir, getting up to walk their dogs or waiting in line for the Petaluma Regional Library to open adjacent from the grounds.
PG&E inspecting lines for restoration, monitoring conditions for additional shutoff
As this weekend’s major wind event comes to a close, PG&E is hoping to restore power to Sonoma County residents. The company is also monitoring weather that may lead to an additional shutoff.

Pumpkin Fest postponed, Howl-O-Ween canceled
Due to poor air quality in Healdsburg, event organizers postponed the Pumpkin Festival one week to Saturday, Nov. 2. The fest had been scheduled for Oct. 26. This will combine it with the first week of the November Craft Market.
Cause of Kincade Fire under investigation
Despite the ongoing public safety power shutoff (PSPS) program, there is a possibility of a PG&E transmission line being responsible for sparking the Kincade Fire, and investigations are ongoing.

Corazón Healdsburg and the city of Healdsburg have decided it is not possible to safely put on the planned DÃa de los Muertos event on Sunday, Oct. 27 on the Healdsburg Plaza.Â
