Community comes out to clean Foss Creek
Trash time — Healdsburg community members, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts and Healdsburg 4H members came out with trash bags on Sept. 28 to help clean up Foss Creek. The event was part of creek week, a countywide effort to clean up waterways and the Russian River watershed. Teams spread out along Foss Creek to pick up trash. One team even found an abandoned bike and wooden pallet.

On Sept. 24, a Sonoma County jury deliberated less than five hours before finding defendant Arent Daniel Julius Bradt of Port Huron, Michigan, guilty of second degree murder.Â

No snags on Dry Creek Road construction
Work is well underway for the U.S. 101/Dry Creek Road intersection improvement project and city officials say the work has not hit any snags so far and should finish as scheduled around the end of this month.
