Stolen Windsor fire truck crashed in Healdsburg

A fire department pick-up truck from a Sonoma County Fire District (SCFD) station in Windsor was recovered following a theft that ended in a crash outside of Healdsburg.

Deadlock continues as no decision is reached on filling council vacancy

The Dec.16 meeting of the Windsor Town Council ended much like the previous one, with the council still deadlocked on how to fill the vacant council seat left when Dominic Foppoli was elected as the town’s at-large mayor.

According to the Sonoma County Fire District, at around 8 a.m. on Oct. 6, a structure fire ignited on the 11000 block of Old Redwood Highway in Windsor. All occupants including two dogs and two kittens were rescued unharmed. In a photo taken by the fire district, an operation known as a tactical ventilation technique is shown as firefighters work to save the home.

Highlights from the Sonoma County Coronavirus Town Hall

The Sonoma County Coronavirus Town Hall, held on March 11, brought together the Chairperson of the Board of Supervisors Susan Gorin, interim Public Health Officer Dr. Sundari Mase and Christopher Godley, director of the Sonoma County Department of Emergency Management. The town hall was broadcast by KRCB Public Media and facilitated by Steve Mencher, KRCB’s news director. It featured questions gathered by email and phone from Sonoma County citizens.
