UPDATE April 10: State water officials have given Sonoma State University clearance to cancel a Boil Water notice that has been in effect since Monday. The lifting of the notice follows two rounds of testing of the campus water supply. In both cases, the tests showed the university’s water was safe to consume.Â

The Wall That Heals
Remembrance and Respect—The Wall That Heals, a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. was on display in Windsor from March 28 to 31. In addition to the wall replica, there was an mobile education center about the war and the memorial as well as the traditional POW/MIA Empty Chair display. On Saturday, March 30, Chief Carlos Basurto led a brief ceremony with speakers that included a Gold Star widow, a reading of names of Sonoma County residents memorialized on the wall (59 in total) followed a 59 second moment of silence to remember them, and then a bagpiper playing Amazing Grace.
New law provides record of officer fired for pot
A recent records request from Healdsburg Police Department shows that Ryan Howard was fired from the force for distributing marijuana that was in police evidence to a resident that did not have rights to it, and for providing false information to the department in a subsequent report.
