Update: 3:30 p.m.: The town released a statement on social media stating it was aware of the reports that Foppoli had resigned but that the town had not yet received the word officially from Foppoli. It adds they are attempting to contact him to confirm the resignation and the effective date.

WSCUHSD prepares for fiscal recovery plan, state budget proposal could ease district deficit

At the Jan. 20 board meeting of the West Sonoma County Union High School District (WSCUHSD), the superintendent and chief business official reported on its shifting financial outlook and measures, including possible breakthroughs in Gov. Gavin Newsom’s state budget proposal to be worked over in the state legislature in the coming months.

Reopening plans, bond sales on tap for school board meeting

At its regular meeting this week, the Cloverdale Unified School District (CUSD) Board of Trustees will be viewing a handful of presentations, including an update about the 2020-21 school reopening plan, as well as discussing classroom capacity limits, approving the sale of general obligation bonds and revising the district’s declaration of need for fully qualified educators. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. and is viewable via Zoom.

St. John the Baptist School students held a jogathon Friday at Badger Park in Healdsburg. Friends and families sponsored students, who ran for physical fitness and to raise funds for school activities. Parents, staff and the St. John tiger mascot were also on hand to offer, hugs, high-fives and encouragement.
