Vintage posters to ‘pop up’ this weekend
A pop-up exhibit and sale of vintage posters from one of the largest vintage poster collections in the world is opening this weekend for just two days at the Hammerfriar Gallery in Healdsburg.

City to limit gun sales, will not be allowed downtown
The Healdsburg City Council voted Tuesday night to limit firearms sales to industrial and commercial zones outside the downtown area and created 500-foot buffer zones elsewhere, around schools, churches, parks and similar land uses.
Heirloom Expo returns for eighth year
The eighth annual Heirloom Expo kicks off at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds on Sept. 11 and runs through Sept. 13. The event, which bills itself as the “World’s Fair of Pure Food” will feature exhibits, speakers, vendors and more over it’s three-day run.
Meinken seeks council seat
Tim Meinken is seeking a seat on the Healdsburg City Council and will be on the Nov. 6 ballot, alongside two other candidates, Leah Gold and Evelyn Mitchell.
Downtown market to continue
The Healdsburg downtown Tuesday Farmers’ Market was scheduled to end the last week of August, but via a last minute inquiry to the city by a farmer wondering why the market was closing at the peak of the growing season, the city, vendors, local merchants and customers came to an agreement to keep the market open.
