Rotary donation to Geyserville art project

Bryan Tedrick, a nationally noted sculptor and resident of Glen Ellen, enjoys creating massive installations that encourage people to become one with his artwork. Bryan created the well known Coyote and Lord Snort sculptures and his Grazing Horse is located across from Healdsburg City Hall. He is creating a new work, Galloping Horse, for Geyserville.

UPDATE: Hearing on alcohol rules postponed to June 13

The Healdsburg Planning Commission discussion on alcohol regulations in Healdsburg has been postponed until June 13 to allow the city staff to prepare more information on the topic. The meeting was originally scheduled for Tuesday, May 23 at Healdsburg City Hall.

Transient Occupancy Tax revenue can fix our roads

Last November Save Our Sonoma Roads supported Measure L, which increased the Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) in unincorporated Sonoma County from 9 percent to 12 percent. It is estimated to increase annual revenue by $5 million. The ballot question explained that the purpose of the tax increase was “to address the impacts of tourists by investing in roads, emergency response,” and other tourism-related impacts. Over 68 percent of county voters approved the measure.
