54 miles of county road projects to begin this week

Work is set to begin this week on 54 miles of major roads in unincorporated Sonoma County. Improvements range from rebuilding roads to treatments that keep good roads in a good condition. This work will enhance a total of 255,515 average daily vehicle trips; however the construction will have unavoidable traffic impacts.

‘Morning Grumble’ seeks volunteers for upcoming school year

Every weekday morning, half an hour before Healdsburg Elementary School TK-2 students walk through the door, retired TV personality Ross McGowan is there, prepping breakfast trays for 17 classes of kindergarten, first and second grades. As volunteers wheel trays of fruit, eggs, and other nutritious breakfast foods through classroom doors, the students greet them with a chorus of, “good morning, Morning Grumble!”
