Vintage posters to ‘pop up’ this weekend
A pop-up exhibit and sale of vintage posters from one of the largest vintage poster collections in the world is opening this weekend for just two days at the Hammerfriar Gallery in Healdsburg.
High school seniors can apply for builders corps
The North Bay Construction Corps (NBCC), a construction exploration and training program for local high school seniors in their last semester of high school, is now accepting applications for the 2019 corps. There will be three chapters in Sonoma County — Sonoma, Rohnert Park and Healdsburg.

Fire Weather Watch issued for first half of week
After a one-day reprieve from the region being on a fire-related weather watch, the National Weather Service (NWS) has once again issued a Fire Weather Watch for the area around Sonoma County. The watch is in effect for North Bay mountains from 11 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 19 through 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 21.

Forum outlines the pros and cons of Measure A
The Sonoma County League of Women Voters hosted a forum devoted to discussing the pros and cons of the two measures on the ballot for west county voters in March. The first, Measure A, asks voters to approve a $48 parcel tax for West Sonoma County Union High School District (WSCUHSD) and the other, Measure B, asks voters to approve a 4% increase to west county’s transient occupancy tax (TOT) for hotels and short-term rentals to help support west county schools and fire districts.
