Sonoma State fraternity banned from campus for five years

On Nov. 20, Sonoma State University was notified of alleged hazing activities that occurred at an informal chapter event of Tau Kappa Epsilon. SSU’s Office of Student Conduct and the TKE International Office conducted a joint investigation of these allegations. As a result of the investigation, it was affirmed that hazing did occur in the form of paddling and intimidation.

HOLLY JOLLY ARTS AND CRAFTS — The Healdsburg Community Center hosted a holiday-themed arts and crafts workshop for kids on Friday, Dec. 20. Kids painted their own little ornaments and Christmas tree star toppers complete with glitter and a bendable wire to create a tree shape. Kids also got a chance to create their very own pinecone bird feeder drenched in peanut butter and rolled in bird seed.

WSCUHSD approves COVID-19 Safety Plans to reopen in hybrid model

On March 30, the West Sonoma County Union High School District board approved the COVID-19 Safety Plans (CSPs) required for each of the district’s three schools to reopen in a hybrid model in less than two weeks.
