County organizations join forces to accept state’s homelessness challenge
Sonoma County has joined Santa Barbara and San Francisco counties as the second cohort of communities in the state to accept Gov. Gavin Newsom's 100-day challenge to address homelessness. The 100-day challenge seeks to end homelessness for specific targeted populations such as veterans or youth, utilizing the $650 million in homeless emergency aid made available by the governor in fiscal year 2020-21.

Historic Wohler Bridge To Close for Seismic Retrofit
The county’s Department of Public Infrastructure has announced a schedule for rebuilding the Wohler Bridge, a historic steel-truss span over the Russian River less than six miles from Healdsburg. Construction will begin on April 1, and the bridge will be closed throughout the summer.

Flash flood watch issued, local agencies preparing for storm
Sonoma County and its corresponding public safety partners are preparing for the incoming atmospheric river that has prompted a flash flood warning for the county and for the burn scars of the Walbridge, Meyers, Glass and Kincade fires, areas which face the greatest threat of debris or landslides. The warning will be in effect through Thursday afternoon.
