Five people have filed applications for vacant council seat in Cloverdale
As of Tuesday afternoon, June 1, the city of Cloverdale received five applicants for its vacant Cloverdale City Council seat. According to city clerk Irene Camacho-Werby, Joe Palla, Eric Sanders, Maeta Emmons, Nicole Garcia-Hinchliffe and Jenny Candelaria-Orr filed applications for the seat.
New voting system rolled out for 2020
Deva Marie Proto, the County Clerk-Recorder-Assessor-Registrar of Voters, has been making the rounds of local municipalities to help educate the community about the new voting systems and plans in place for 2020 and beyond.
More foster care families needed in Healdsburg
Healdsburg residents Christopher Palacios and Dennis Agnos have an emergency foster home. Chicago-born Agnos is development director for Face to Face Sonoma County AIDS Network. His partner (Palacios) is from Concord. Palacios stays at home with their two daughters, Navella (8) and Ruby (6). āWe currently do not have any foster children living with us, just our two daughters,ā said Agnos. āWe built our family through foster care, however.ā
