North Bay Met and Windsor Oaks academies graduate the Class of 2021
                    The alternative high schools of Windsor — North Bay Met Academy (NMB) and Windsor Oaks Academy (WOA) — celebrated their 2021 graduates with an in-person ceremony in their quad on June 3.                
                
            Potmesil named school board president, McAllister to serve as vice president
                    In the annual reorganization of the Healdsburg Unified School District (HUSD) Board of Trustees, board vice president Mike Potmesil was unanimously voted in as board president on Dec. 15 during the board’s regular meeting. Trustee Rose McAllister will serve as the board’s vice president.

            Windsor police use-of-force incidents ‘very minute’
                    For the first time since public meetings regarding policing were held last summer, the Windsor Town Council heard an annual report from Windsor Police Chief Michael Raasch regarding use-of-force incidents and police practices at their regular meeting Aug. 18.                
                
            The future of Healdsburg
                    When the new Healdsburg City Council reconvenes on January 3, 2017, there will be one vacant seat. In the wake of the 2016 election, councilmember Eric Ziedrich tendered his resignation, effective December 31, due to the rejection of Measure R by Healdsburg voters.
