            CUSD considering instructional calendar, creation of middle school dean on Tuesday
                    The Cloverdale Unified School District (CUSD) Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting this week. The board will meet over Zoom, beginning at 4 p.m., to discuss the 2021-22 instructional calendar, take possible action on the creation of a middle school dean job description for Washington Middle School and consider the creation of a teacher on special assignment job description.                
                
            Seussical: Schools celebrate Dr. Seuss
                    March 2 is the birthday of iconic children’s author Dr. Seuss, and it has become a national school holiday of sorts, Read Across America. Students wear pajamas or other festive gear and community members come and share the love of reading with their students, reading from their favorite Seuss books.

            “She Persisted” exhibit at Healdsburg Museum
                    The Healdsburg Museum’s next offering is “She Persisted.” The exhibition highlights notable women in local history. Their colorful lives and significant achievements in the 19th and early 20th centuries helped shape the character of our community. The exhibition will include historic artifacts, narratives and photographs, plus an extensive display of local historic artwork by Jane Raabe, Myra Hazen, Ollie Gaddini Bacigalupi, Maude Needham Latimer, Alice Haigh Dixon and Rosinda Holmes.                
                
            Collins stepping down, Jorgensen stepping in at WHS
                    In a letter to the community dated March 16, Windsor Unified School District Superintendent Jeremy Decker announced that Windsor High School (WHS) Principal Lamar Collins has resigned, effective March 15.                
                
            Local woman helps raise funds for Milk Barn Road family who lost home
                    When Lupe Lopez’s boyfriend and his family the Lagunas’ evacuated from their Milk Barn Road property in Healdsburg Saturday night, Oct. 27, the family brought minimal supplies and belongings with them, thinking they’d be able to return in a few days.
