Flash flood watch issued due to incoming atmospheric river
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a flash flood watch for the Bay Area due to predicted heavy rainfall over the coming days. The watch is in effect from Tuesday, Jan. 26 to Thursday, Jan. 28. The weather service is specifically warning about debris flow and flash flood warning in and around recent burn areas.Â

HOLLY JOLLY ARTS AND CRAFTS — The Healdsburg Community Center hosted a holiday-themed arts and crafts workshop for kids on Friday, Dec. 20. Kids painted their own little ornaments and Christmas tree star toppers complete with glitter and a bendable wire to create a tree shape. Kids also got a chance to create their very own pinecone bird feeder drenched in peanut butter and rolled in bird seed.
Local artists receive COVID support from city of Sebastopol
Four local artists are having a happier holiday this year thanks to the Public Arts Committee of the city of Sebastopol. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the committee created the COVID Artist Lottery to help support local artists during this difficult time.

Every year, local young artists get to participate in what’s possibly their first art exhibition. This year’s Healdsburg Center for the Arts 2020 Young Artists Exhibition features work from students from eight area schools that all focus on a single theme — the endangered environment.
