Fire fuel abatement on Fitch Mountain this week
The Healdsburg Fire Department will be working with CalFire crews, LandPaths and equipment provided by Sonoma County Fire & Emergency Services to reduce fire fuels at Fitch Mountain Preserve and make the preserve’s fire roads more accessible.
Arrests made in catalytic converter thefts
Catalytic converter thefts have been increasing exponentially in north county in the past month, with alerts being issued throughout all of Sonoma County. The most common victim of the thefts is the Toyota Prius, whose converters are both very easy to steal and particularly valuable. They contain precious metals, such as platinum, palladium or rhodium.

Gratitude and Giving at Dia de los Muertos, Oct. 29
Corazón Healdsburg and the City of Healdsburg announce a day of community gathering, healing and giving in the aftermath of the worst natural disaster in the area’s history. In the spirit of the traditional Dia de Los Muertos event, a community altar will hold the remembrances of ancestors, friends, relatives and loved ones no longer with us. In the spirit of community, attendees will share in a posole feed. In the spirit of recovery, there will be an outlet for play and creativity for children – all with the backdrop of live music.
