For Healdsburg residents, there is one recognizable face they can instantly spot at their local Carl’s Jr. — Rutilia Perez, 50, has been working at the Carl’s Jr. in Healdsburg for 20 years. She has seen children grow up, memorized meals and made longtime friendships. Perez does not plan on leaving any time soon and her customers are glad.
Local firefighters suit up for live fire training
Around 40 firefighters from departments and agencies across Sonoma County gathered at the Healdsburg Community Center on a chilly Sunday morning, March 8, for the second day of a free live fire training with the Kelseyville Fire Protection District training trailer.

WET TRACTORS — Heavy rains fell on this year's Geyserville Lighted Tractor Parade on Saturday, Nov. 30 but there were plenty of well-lighted truck, tractor and farm machinery entries and a smaller crowd than in past years. State Senator Mike McGuire and county supervisor James Gore did the honors for lighting the community holiday tree and starting a round of holiday singing. The parade is sponsored by the Geyserville Chamber of Commerce and participating members.

Will Tesconi joins Assemblymember Jim Wood’s staff in Santa Rosa
On Jan. 16, Will Tesconi joined Assemblymember Jim Wood’s Santa Rosa district office as a field representative. Wood is a Democrat, representing the 2nd Assembly District, which includes Humboldt, Del Norte, Trinity and Mendocino counties plus northern and coastal Sonoma County. Wood maintains three district offices in Santa Rosa, Ukiah and Eureka; the Eureka office supports Del Norte, Humboldt and Trinity counties.
