The planning process for Cloverdale’s Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) — a plan that’s supposed to outline how to reduce the threat of wildfire in the community — is underway. The road ahead for the plan includes multiple community meetings and input sessions to help nail down how the CWPP can best serve Cloverdale.

WSCUHSD board to reconsider parcel tax, discuss TOT and potential consolidation

The West Sonoma County Union High School District (WSCUHSD) will host a special meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23 to reconsider putting a parcel tax measure on the ballot in March and discuss the transient occupancy tax measure put forth by the county, according to the Nov. 23 agenda.

New public art installed in Geyserville and Cloverdale

A new crop of sculptures for the “101 Sculpture Trail” arrived for installation in May, bringing the communities original art pieces from sculptors mainly based in Northern California. The sculptures will remain on display through May of next year. Nineteen new sculptures were installed in Cloverdale and Geyserville, said Joyce Mann, manager of the Sculpture Trail.

City looks for input on spending

The Healdsburg City Council would like to know how you’d spend the estimated $1 million that will be collected annually from the new half-cent sales tax increase.
