City’s EV Program Charges Ahead
A total of 10 new charging stations are being installed, four on East Street and six in the lot between Healdsburg Avenue and Center Street. Their addition will bring city-owned charging stations to 24: There are currently 12 charging stations in the City Hall parking lot at 401 Grove St. and two more at 150 Branch Lane, in the Mill District.

Early Monday morning, at 1:37am, The RP said he was scammed via the internet. The suspect told the RP to pay to avoid the suspect posting information to the public via Telegram. The RP sent the suspect $300 through PayPal. The RP was advised to contact his bank about the scam and also to delete and block the suspect. The RP was provided with the websites www.ic3.gov and www.ftc.gov.

Police Log, March 31-April 6
On Thursday, at 6:51pm, a man with his dog unleashed was fully undressed on the RP’s property on Yew Circle. The man walked onto the property to gain access to the river. Officers arrived on the scene, but the RP did not want to press charges. The man was given appropriate resources.
Mayor Mitchell Steers the City Council Toward New District Map
After having reached consensus at the fourth public hearing on March 17 that what has been termed Map A best represented the interests of the city in crafting five separate districts, the expectation was that the council would make a final perfunctory review, then move to adopt and accept that finalize the map. Mayor Mitchell had other ideas.
Bird Bikes Take Flight to Another Location
In his bi-weekly City Manager’s Report of April 4, Jeff Kay broke the news that the Bird Bikes program, providing a “micro-mobility” option for Healdsburg residents and visitors, has been canceled well ahead of its expected expiration date in early 2026. “Bird recently notified the City of their intent to terminate the agreement and we regret to announce that the e-bike share program will be concluding its operations in Healdsburg,” Kay wrote.
