2022 preschool fair is back for Corazón
After having to pause their early childhood education event last year, Corazón Healdsburg’s preschool fair by Corazón Healdsburg. The 4th annual preschool fair will be happening this Saturday, March 5 from 10 a.m. to noon. It will be held in the outdoor courtyard of the Healdsburg Community Center.
COVID-19 Rent Relief portal now open to both renters and landlords
Californians who have experienced a financial hardship because of the pandemic and who are most at-risk of eviction can now apply for the CA COVID-19 Rent Relief program to help pay past due rent.
Windsor’s pioneer woman suffragist
In 2020 we celebrate the 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage in the United States. Shortly after the pandemic shut us down, Paula Freund and John Sheehy from the Petaluma Museum Association called with a question about the Latimer family. A researcher had discovered the name “Mrs. Judge Latimer” in the book, “History of Woman Suffrage” by Elizabeth Cady Stanton and asked if we were familiar with her.
Windsor Middle School’s promotion on wheels
Driving through—Students, staff and community members gathered on the morning of May 29 to celebrate the passage from eighth grade to high school. School district seeks members for Citizen’s Bond Oversight Committee
The Board of Trustees of the Healdsburg Unified School District is establishing a Citizen's Bond Oversight Committee to review expenditures from construction activity associated with Measure D, which was approved by District voters on November 8, 2016. The committee will be responsible for ensuring that bond revenues are used only as voters intended and for informing the public of bond expenditures. The board invites all interested community members to apply for service on the Bond Oversight Committee.
Sebastopol climate committee seeking public art submissions
Sebastopol's Climate Action Committee is looking for public art submissions for a new community art project focused on climate change. According to an announcement from the city, the project seeks to "educate and inspire the community to discuss and take local action on climate change."
