Windsor allocates $52,500 to various local nonprofits
The town of Windsor is giving a total of $52,500 in grant funding to several local nonprofits as part of the town’s annual nonprofit grant program.
Council, planning commission receiving update on downtown zoning plan
In a joint meeting on July 14, the Cloverdale City Council and Cloverdale Planning Commission are set to receive presentations about both state housing laws and updating downtown zoning using SB 2 funding from the state. The Town of Windsor’s new utility box painting program called Discovering Windsor Through Art aims to help beautify the community and is dedicated to exhibiting the visual arts outside the constraints of museums or galleries. The 2021 theme of “community healing” is designed to highlight the resiliency of Windsor and help the community heal through public art.

Sebastopol City Council shifts to approve its annual budget
Concluding the Sebastopol City Council’s third budget discussion earlier this month, Mayor Una Glass called for Sebastopol city staff to prepare a final city budget for the fiscal year 2021-22 for adoption at the upcoming July 20 city council meeting.
Fire Safe Occidental aims to empower and protect west county communities
One morning in the fall of 2017, Occidental resident Carolyn Sell woke up to an orange sky and a view of the Santa Rosa valley on fire. Realizing how easily fire could spread west to her community, Sell decided, from her vantage point up in the hills, to make sure Occidental would be ready when disaster came.
