District will have to dip into general and reserve funds to fund salary increase, bolster budget ahead of deficit spending

During a recent Healdsburg City Council meeting, a resolution was approved to update the Healdsburg Emergency Operations Plan (EOP). The update is meant to create a plan that will reflect increased community engagement as well as address new forms of emergency circumstances. The resolution received positive feedback and was successfully approved unanimously.

At the last meeting before their July break, the Windsor Unified School District Board of Trustees is focusing on finishing up the previous year’s business and getting ready for the coming year.

As part of its ongoing effort to recognize local members of the suffrage movement leading up to the 1920 ratification of the 19th Amendment, the Western Sonoma County Historical Society has adorned each identifiable suffragist headstone in the Sebastopol, Green Valley and Forestview cemeteries with a sign denoting the person’s involvement in the fight for women’s voting rights.

There will be a special joint Windsor Town Council and Windsor Planning Commission meeting on June 30 that will be a study session for the Multi-Family Residential Objective Design Standards being considered by the town. 

On June 23, the Healdsburg Unified School District (HUSD) reached another milestone in its long and ongoing journey toward creating an equitable district and a welcoming and inclusive school experience for all students and community members.
