CPD hosting prescription drug collection this Saturday
The Cloverdale Police Department is giving folks the opportunity to turn in expired, unused or unwanted prescription drugs on Saturday. The event, held in collaboration with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will go from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 24.

Occidental man arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a minor
The Santa Rosa Police Department (SRPD) arrested Peter Duranceau, 25, of Occidental, on April 15 following an investigation that found Duranceau to be the suspect in a sexual assault case involving a minor, as well as one where he’s suspected of trying to arrange a meeting with a minor with the intent to engage in sexual conduct.
Planning commission reviewing downtown zoning
At a special meeting this week, Cloverdale’s planning commission will be reviewing a presentation about the city’s downtown zoning, conducting a study session on opportunities related to updating downtown zoning and reviewing possible sites for further downtown development. The conversation is one of the first steps toward potentially updating zoning in the downtown area. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 20 at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom.
