Laguna Farm lives on despite closing CSA program and move from Cooper Road

Laguna Farm has ended its community-supported agriculture (CSA) program and farmstand on Cooper Road in Sebastopol, but the farm lives on, according to former co-owners Jennifer Branham and Ignacio Romero.

County moves to orange tier

The state of California announced on April 6 that Sonoma County is once again switching tiers in the state’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy framework, shifting from the red tier to the less restrictive orange tier. Revised guidelines associated with the orange tier are effective at 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday, April 7.

One dead in single-vehicle accident outside Cloverdale

On Monday, April 5, a vehicle was reported to have driven off of the roadway and collided with a tree on northbound Highway 101, south of South Cloverdale Boulevard.

Planning commission hosts Innovative Housing series

As a part of the city’s efforts to increase its stock of affordable housing, the Sebastopol Planning Commission will be hosting a series of presentations on innovative housing models this spring. The presentations will happen during regularly scheduled planning commission meetings, and the commission encourages the public to attend. Here’s the schedule:

Fire attack

On April 4, at around 8:30 p.m., a homeowner off of Anna Drive in Windsor reported that a fire had broken out in the attic of their home. The Sonoma County Fire District responded and fortunately the homeowners were able to get out safely. There were no injuries and crews made an aggressive attack on the fire, including this dramatic battle on the roof.
