Days of Service and Learning educate small groups of students about municipal services

A small group of students ranging in age from eight to 16 got together last week and the week before to tour Cloverdale’s water and wastewater plants and met this week to help with food distribution at the Cloverdale Citrus Fair — the series of tours and volunteer opportunities was organized as part of Cloverdale’s 2021 Days of Service and Learning, in honor of César Chávez.

Food for Thought to host plant sale in April

Food For Thought (FFT) will host its first plant sale in its parking lot at 6550 Railroad Avenue in Forestville on April 24 and April 25 to raise funds towards the nonprofit’s efforts to provide meals to thousands living with major illnesses

Sculptor Spotlight: M.C. Carolyn

This Reveille’s Sculpture Spotlight is on M.C. Carolyn of Healdsburg. Cloverdale first enjoyed M. C.’s  “The Big Red Candy Apple” in the 2014-15 Sculpture Trail. In 2017, Carolyn donated “The Apple” to the city of Cloverdale much to the pleasure of the community. “The Apple” is now located in front of the library to be enjoyed by visitors to the library as well as passersby.

Bodega Bay Fire considers charging or curtailing services amid fiscal emergency

The Bodega Bay Fire Protection District (BBFPD) is bracing for layoffs and exploring reducing or charging for services to areas that do not pay for the district’s cost of readiness to stabilize itself, according to Assistant Fire Chief Steve Herzberg.
