The Legacy’s Holiday Bazaar opens today
The Legacy’s Annual Holiday Bazaar is a wonderful Sebastopol tradition and, like everything else this year, it’s a little different because of COVID-19. This year, instead of making a temporary home in a vacant storefront, it’s being held at the spacious, high-ceilinged Community Cultural Center on Morris Street, which will make social distancing easier.
New stay-at-home orders coming from state
Gov. Gavin Newsom announced a new set of stay-at-home orders and restrictions on Dec. 3, that threaten to significantly impact the holiday season. The new order is based on ICU bed capacity that is narrowing significantly, with cases threatening to overwhelm the healthcare system, and is based on regions rather than counties.

You can send Sonoma County seniors mail this holiday season
The Sonoma County Library recently launched a “send our seniors mail” program where folks can send decorated cards, postcards, hand-written messages or even drawings to seniors in local senior-care facilities this holiday season.

Windsor Care Network to host free carryout holiday meal
Residents of Windsor are invited to come to the Mary Agatha Furth Center at 8400 Old Redwood Highway on Saturday, Dec. 19, from noon to 4 p.m., to pick up free, fully-cooked holiday dinners as part of a “Feed the Hungry” program for members of the local community. The “warm and serve” meals will be available in a drive-thru format.
