Food For Thought’s 19th annual fundraiser is going virtual this year. The Forestville food bank’s funds help bring groceries to the front doorstep of many Sonoma County residents living with HIV, AIDS and now COVID-19, in addition to other serious illnesses. Food For Thought (FFT) provides free healthy meals, vitamins, supplements, nutritional counseling and groceries to over 2,000 clients, according to its website.

Wellness website aims to help Cloverdale students, parents
Addressing questions from families and students about where to find resources to address mental health, as well as financial assistance and support and community counseling, the Cloverdale Unified School District (CUSD) has created an online resource center. The website, put together by the district’s wellness team, is a trove of resources and links that are both district and community-specific. The website will also be available in Spanish.
County receives funding to purchase Sebastopol Inn
After being in limbo on a state waitlist for funding, the county has received $6.375 million in funding from the state’s Project Homekey program to purchase the Sebastopol Inn to provide supportive housing for the homeless.
