Two arrested in Guerneville with stolen school property

On Tuesday, Nov. 3, deputies from the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office arrested two people in possession of stolen property from schools.

Special budget workshop and shifted school board meeting on tap this week for Windsor

There will be two meetings of the Windsor Unified School District Board of Trustees this week, though neither of them on the regular meeting day of Tuesday, to avoid a conflict with Election Day. The first is a bond budget workshop to determine the next expenditures of Measure F money, with the regular school board meeting following up on Thursday.

Employee agreements and school reopening at forefront of Thursday’s CUSD meeting

The Cloverdale Unified School District Board of Trustees is holding a special meeting this Thursday, Nov. 5, a departure from its usual Wednesday meetings. Housekeeping items relating to distance learning are scheduled to take up the bulk of the agenda, though district trustees are also expected to consider and take possible action to appoint someone to the Measure H Citizen’s Oversight Committee. An agenda item on every meeting since the summer, the board will also be reviewing the district’s school reopening plan. School district sells last of Measure H bonds

Last month, the Cloverdale Unified School District sold the last set of bonds related to Measure H, the general obligation bond measure that was approved by Cloverdale voters in November 2018.

Sebastopol names Daniel Healy as new police chief

Nearly a year after the retirement of its previous chief of police, the city of Sebastopol announced its new police chief, Daniel Healy, Monday morning. Healy is currently second-in-command with the Suisun City Police Department. He will start at the department on Dec. 14 and will be sworn in on Dec. 15.

IOLERO annual report shows some changes, some denials at sheriff’s office

At the Oct. 20 meeting of Sonoma County Board of Supervisors, Independent Office of Law Enforcement Review and Outreach (IOLERO) provided the supervisors with their annual report, and it highlighted a few things that Measure P is looking to change.
