Series kicks of June 6 with screening of “Raiders of the Lost Ark”

Healdsburg District Hospital is co-hosting a drive-thru COVID-19 testing event with Sonoma County Public Health on Saturday, May 30 between 3 and 7 p.m., in its Emergency Department parking lot, which is accessed from the 1312 Prentice Drive entrance. This event will expand the reach of the Public Health’s testing program by collecting data from residents in the northern and western sections of the county with a focus on the Latinx community.

In the ongoing quest to make up for graduating seniors missing to much of their senior year, Sebastopol City Councilmember Neysa Hinton and 5th District Supervisor Lynda Hopkins have joined forces to celebrate the Class of 2020 with banners that will be appearing throughout west county this week.

Coming on the heels of Gov. Gavin Newsom’s announcements that some retail locations, places of worship, salons and barbershops in the state can reopen, Sonoma County’s health officer said that local businesses who meet those descriptions can expect to wait a bit longer for the green light to open their doors.

Forget about the dusty pens, nervous waits and the chilly night air that usually goes with each year’s youth livestock auction at the Healdsburg Future Farmers Country Fair. Maybe there’s something to be said for this all-digital way of life we’ve been forced into these days.

Healdsburg High School (HHS) is going to celebrate its 52 scholarship award winners and 21 alumni scholarship recipients with a special video set to be released sometime the first week of June.
