Kim Dargeou, the interim supervising children’s services librarian at the Central Santa Rosa Library, is bringing the library into families homes with a new video series of weekly story times, science and craft projects and read-aloud programs for all ages.

Healdsburg Forever, a regional nonprofit affiliate of Community Foundation Sonoma County, issued a total of $80,000 in emergency grants to six local nonprofits in an effort to help support organizations that are having to ramp up their services to meet increased food, shelter and health care needs.

PG&E is unrolling a plan to try and make its Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) shorter in duration and smaller in size this wildfire season. The utility said that it’s also aiming to provide more timely and accurate communications to its customers about PSPS’ by bolstering the website capacity and improving customer alerts.
