In the nick of time, the City of Sebastopol may have found a place right down the road to relocate the controversial RV encampment along Morris Street as of its Oct. 27 special meeting.
Two waste and recycling events coming to Windsor
The town of Windsor has two recycling and waste events on tap for October to help residents dispose of their e-waste and mattresses. Social distancing and other COVID measures will be in place for both events.
A blessing for a safe journey
Bell's Ambulance, which has served north Sonoma County for 60 years, has never put a new ambulance into service without first having it blessed by a priest. Above, Father Sean Rogers of St. John the Baptist Church blessed Bell's new rig Tuesday morning. He later blessed Pamela and Wayne Bell, who run the business founded by their parents. The new ambulance went into service immediately, stationed at the Bell's office in Windsor.
Healdsburg Police Department runs Special Olympics torch
Police departments across Sonoma County participated in the Law Enforcement Torch Run on June 12, when the Torch of Hope was carried through Sonoma County, with Cloverdale, Healdsburg and Windsor Police Departments carrying the torch through north county streets. The torch is being carried on its way to the Special Olympics Northern California Summer Games and its opening ceremony in Davis on June 22.
