9/11 — A thoughtful memorial was held at the Cloverdale Fire Protection District on Sept. 11 to pay tribute to the many lives that were lost 18 years ago in the terror attacks at the Twin Towers in New York and at the Pentagon.

Little Lambs hires new director

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church’s Little Lambs Preschool has hired Maria Elena Oberti as its new director.

Police ramp up traffic enforcement

On Aug. 29 the city announced on their Facebook page that the Healdsburg Police Department will be conducting additional traffic enforcement this month in certain areas of town after receiving requests and community concern about traffic violations.

Plaza businesses undergo changes

While the St. Dizier retail furniture store and showroom on the corner of Center and Matheson streets will be closing its doors after 20 years, the St. Dizier upstairs design firm will be very much alive and operating and will remain open to serve clients.

GMO going back on ballot

The Growth Management Ordinance (GMO) and possible changes were discussed at the Healdsburg City Council meeting Sept. 3 at city hall.

Ripe Rewards: Junior college recipe gives zukes zest

The Zucchini Festival takes place Sept. 14 at the Healdsburg Farmers Market: zucchini decorating competitions, giant zucchini contests and zucchini car races. It is such a blast to be a part of and/or to watch.
