Pulitzer prize-winning journalist Lowell Bergman will give a talk and share a Q&A session on Wednesday, Sept. 18, at The Raven Performing Arts Theater in Healdsburg. His appearance is being sponsored by Sonoma West Publishers (SWP) and Northern California Public Media (KRCB.)

Couple’s farm donates its harvest

On a sunny Thursday morning at a Los Amigos Road farm, over 100 pounds of eggplants, peppers, squash and cucumbers were harvested and instead of being sold at a farmers market or to a restaurant, the fresh collection of vegetables were all donated to local charities and farm pantries in an effort to fight hunger in local communities.

Winery pulls out of permit appeal

An on-again, off-again rejection and appeal for a proposed 10,000 case winery at 4603 Westside Road is now off and may be permanently scrubbed after it was first filed for zoning and use permits in May 2014 and rejected by the county’s Board of Zoning Adjustments on a 5-0 vote in June 2017.
