Weather watch upgraded to Red Flag Warning
A Fire Weather Watch that was issued from the National Weather Service (NWS) on Oct. 12 has been upgraded to a Red Flag Warning. The warning spans throughout coastal and inland parts of California, covering the North Bay valleys and mountains, East Bay valleys and hills and the Santa Cruz mountains. The warning will be in effect from 5 a.m. this Wednesday, Oct. 14 to 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 16.
Council, planning commission receiving update on downtown zoning plan
In a joint meeting on July 14, the Cloverdale City Council and Cloverdale Planning Commission are set to receive presentations about both state housing laws and updating downtown zoning using SB 2 funding from the state. Forum outlines the pros and cons of Measure A
The Sonoma County League of Women Voters hosted a forum devoted to discussing the pros and cons of the two measures on the ballot for west county voters in March. The first, Measure A, asks voters to approve a $48 parcel tax for West Sonoma County Union High School District (WSCUHSD) and the other, Measure B, asks voters to approve a 4% increase to west county’s transient occupancy tax (TOT) for hotels and short-term rentals to help support west county schools and fire districts.

County releases COVID-19 case demographics

One person in Sonoma County has also died from the virus.
