HUSD preparing to resume virtual classes tomorrow
In a letter to the Healdsburg Unified School District (HUSD) community posted to the website and social media Monday afternoon, HUSD Superintendent Chris Vanden Heuvel said the district is preparing to virtually reopen for school tomorrow, Aug. 25.

Sonoma State fraternity banned from campus for five years
On Nov. 20, Sonoma State University was notified of alleged hazing activities that occurred at an informal chapter event of Tau Kappa Epsilon. SSU’s Office of Student Conduct and the TKE International Office conducted a joint investigation of these allegations. As a result of the investigation, it was affirmed that hazing did occur in the form of paddling and intimidation.

Healdsburg City Council to discuss new subdivisions
The Healdsburg City Council is scheduled to review and possibly approve two new housing projects Monday night. The 29-unit “Oaks at Foss Creek” subdivision near the corner of Grove and Chiquita Roads, has been extensively reviewed by the Healdsburg Planning Commission, which resulted in multiple revisions of the plan before it was approved.
