The Windsor Unified School District (WUSD) has announced a special meeting to take place Tuesday, March 2 at 6 p.m. to address two important topics which show the strain of COVID on the district; namely layoffs and standardized testing.

City budget review looks at cuts, changes

Healdsburg City Council and the city’s administrative services and finance director, Heather Ippoliti, have started to review the city’s budget for the next fiscal cycle. The council met several times last week in both closed and open session meetings to discuss the city’s biennial budget for 2020-21 and 2021-22 and the necessary budget changes and cuts that will need to be implemented to soften the blow from the COVID-19 related economic recession.

HPD addresses traffic violations, homelessness

The Healdsburg Police Department met with local business and community members on Dec. 10 to field questions and discuss their work. Homelessness, traffic violations and youth issues with social media, were among the top concerns voiced by locals during the Q&A session.
