Chamber hosting virtual candidate forum for special election
The Windsor Chamber of Commerce has announced it will be hosting a candidates forum on Thursday, March 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. for the May 4 special election. There will be five names on the ballot to fill a vacant town council seat.
Vote-by-mail ballots going out to Windsor voters this week
Vote-by-mail ballots for the April 12 special election will start going out in the mail this week to all active, registered voters residing in the Town of Windsor. Voters should expect their vote-by-mail ballots to arrive within five to 10 days. This election does not apply to any Sonoma County voters who live outside of Windsor.

City’s newest lieutenant rose through ranks
Healdsburg’s newest police lieutenant, Matt Jenkins, 31, was promoted in early December. Jenkins was raised up from patrol sergeant after serving with the Healdsburg Police Department as an officer since May 2003. He celebrated his 10th anniversary on the force just last week.
