Sebastopol senior center temporarily cancels in-person activities
In-person classes and pop-up lunch at the Sebastopol Area Senior Center will be closed through Friday, Aug. 27 to stay on the safe side as COVID-19 cases increase, according to a notice on the center’s website. The message added the center shall reopen on Monday, Aug. 30.
How to get a free water-saving kit in Cloverdale
The Sonoma-Marin Saving Water Partnership is setting up shop around the region on Saturday, June 12 to hand out free water-saving kits to local residents. The Drought Drop By will be at the Cloverdale Plaza on June 12 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., or while supplies last.
Council to review survey, discuss actions related to business recovery
At a special Sebastopol City Council meeting this Wednesday, Aug. 12, the city council members will receive a presentation from CoMission about the local business survey and microsurvey it conducted. The council will also be discussing direction and action relating to helping businesses weather the COVID-19 pandemic. The meeting, dubbed a “council study session” will be conducted virtually from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Details to attend via Zoom are located here.

Process begins for SMART Station Area Plan
The City of Healdsburg has begun planning for the eventual arrival of SMART, perhaps as soon as the end of 2028. The planning began at Monday’s City Council meeting, when the five-member board heard from Planning Director Scott Duiven about the formation of a Healdsburg Station Area Specific Plan.
