Windsor shows off its SMART station

The official arrival of SMART to its new station in Windsor was met by well over 1000 residents, neighbors and on-stage engineers and politicians who helped bring Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit service to what is now its northern terminus, the Town of Windsor.

Country Summer postponed to 2021, virtual event planned for June

Country Summer, Northern California’s biggest country music festival has been postponed until June 25 to 27, 2021. Country Summer was meant to take place in June 2020, but when California was hit hard by COVID-19, the annual three-day event was rescheduled for Oct. 23 to 25, 2020.

It’s Final: Council Backs ‘Map D’ for City’s District Elections

Last Monday night marked the conclusion of what City Manager Jeff Kay called “a long and really involved journey” in Healdsburg’s civic history, as the City Council voted to approve a new map for selecting council members by district voting, beginning in 2026.

Healdsburg District Hospital hosting COVID-19 testing this Saturday

Healdsburg District Hospital is co-hosting a drive-thru COVID-19 testing event with Sonoma County Public Health on Saturday, May 30 between 3 and 7 p.m., in its Emergency Department parking lot, which is accessed from the 1312 Prentice Drive entrance. This event will expand the reach of the Public Health’s testing program by collecting data from residents in the northern and western sections of the county with a focus on the Latinx community.
