Community Benefit Grant funds granted for 2017
In 1998, the Healdsburg City Council used some of the proceeds from the sale of the former city hall building to create and fund the Community Benefit Grant Program, which continues funding nonprofit and charitable organizations throughout Healdsburg.
Police Log, April 28-May 5
On Thursday, May 1 at 12:27pm, the RP stated that a vehicle hit the RP’s car near Chevron on Healdsburg Avenue and drove away eastbound. The RP wanted to press charges. An officer responded and took a report. Officers looked for the vehicle, but the vehicle was gone on arrival and unable to be located.
Board approved $12 Million for shelter for those living on the Joe Rodota Trail
Today, the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors approved $12 million for solutions to house and shelter those living on the Joe Rodota Trail.
Arrests made in catalytic converter thefts
Catalytic converter thefts have been increasing exponentially in north county in the past month, with alerts being issued throughout all of Sonoma County. The most common victim of the thefts is the Toyota Prius, whose converters are both very easy to steal and particularly valuable. They contain precious metals, such as platinum, palladium or rhodium.
