What does the Planning Commission do?
The Planning Commission works in a collaborative way with the Planning Department and the City Council. Commissioners are selected by the council and advise the city on the merit of upcoming projects. We keep in mind the wishes of the residents and protect the environment and our tree inventory.
Inclusion means everyone at new playgrounds
Nearly a dozen people followed one another to the speaker’s podium at last week’s City Council meeting, many of them teens from local schools or the Girl Scouts. All of them agreed on one thing: It was time for Healdsburg to have a Magical Bridge Playground.
The Ruse changes course from B&B to rehab
The real heart of the Sept. 23 meeting is anticipated to be the approval, or rejection, of a conditional use permit for The Ruse, at 891 Grove St., formerly known as the Honor Mansion. It's new application is to operate as a rehab treatment facility.
Police Log, July 21 – July 27
11:28am An accident with property damage was reported on Hwy 101 at Dry Creek Road. A Healdsburg officer located a damaged vehicle in the No. 1 lane and waited for California Highway Patrol to arrive. The officer searched the area for the suspect vehicle, but it was gone on arrival and unable to be located.
