Police Log, Dec. 30, 2024 – Jan. 5, 2025

On Jan. 3, at 12:30am, a man on University Street at Haydon Street stated that two teenagers were in a vehicle driving erratically. While on the phone, dispatch heard the RP and 2 other subjects in a verbal dispute. Officers arrived on the scene and contacted both teenagers. An 18-YO man was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit a felony and committing a hate crime. The other 18-YO man was arrested for conspiracy to commit a felony, committing a hate crime and battery. They were brought to county jail.

Turkey Giveaway, Nov. 22

GOBBLE — Community members gathered in front of the Cloverdale Food Pantry on Friday, Nov. 22 to pick up Thanksgiving staples — turkeys, stuffing and a pie. On Nov. 21, Shalia Vanderweken and Brenda Vronoski held their annual Turkey Round-up, collecting donations of money and turkeys from those able to donate. The community donations provided around 100 turkeys to be given out at the food pantry on Friday. Vanderweken and Vronoski said that they are appreciative of both the community and local service clubs for supporting the round-up year after year.

THE Jazz Club sparks it up with Charged Particles, Mar. 1

On Thursday, March 1, the Cloverdale Arts Alliance will present Bay Area favorite, Charged Particles, at THE Jazz Club.

Cloverdale Torch Run, Nov. 4

On Wednesday, Nov. 4 the Cloverdale Police Department participated in the Special Olympics Torch Run for Sonoma County law enforcement.

Nov. 20: 2:59pm Petty theft occurred at Healdsburg High School on Prince Avenue. A week prior, AirPods were stolen. The RP tracked the location of the AirPods to an address. The RP did not know who lived at that address. The RP wanted a report, but did not want to press changes. And more Police reports...

Monday, Nov. 11, 4:20pm: An accident occurred on Grant Street which involved a vehicle hitting a 7-year-old female pedestrian.  The girl was conscious and not bleeding, and her father declined medical assistance. The driver of the vehicle left her contact information with someone before leaving the scene.

Promotion Parade, June 4

A parade was held for Washington School eighth graders Thursday night, June 4, to help celebrate promoting students' who are on their way to high school. Parents drove students down North Cloverdale Boulevard as families and loved ones cheered them on.
