Historic Villa Chanticleer undergoing operational transition

The Villa Chanticleer, located on the west-facing slope of Fitch Mountain, is undergoing an operational transition. Tayman Golf Group Inc. has operated the Villa Chanticleer as both an event center and a community gathering space since 2014, and they are now transitioning out of operations due to the retirement of one of Tayman Group’s partners. 

County hosting vaccine clinics at Healdsburg Fitch Mountain campus

The County of Sonoma with Alliance Medical Center is hosting a vaccine clinic at the Healdsburg Unified School District’s Healdsburg Elementary Fitch Mountain Campus this Saturday, Feb. 5, and on Feb. 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All ages five and over are welcome

At the Feb. 2 Windsor Town Council meeting, council members will receive a presentation on accessory dwelling units, review the Climate Resilence Plan, receive a status report on the Keiser Park Master Plan Update and consider amendments to the municipal code regarding enforcement.

The Sebastopol City Council is set to juggle mid-year budget amendments, committee recommendations, board and committee recruitment, voting directions, and the coexistence of Calder Creek and Ives Park at its Feb. 1 meeting.

Planning commission reviewing Alexander Valley Wellness Center

On Tuesday evening, the Cloverdale Planning Commission will be holding a public hearing to discuss the Alexander Valley Wellness Center design review, conditional use permit and development agreement for Cloverdale’s proposed health care center. The facility is slated to be located on the corner of Cloverdale Boulevard and Citrus Fair Drive, in the currently vacant Thyme Square property. Many Healdsburg residents are up in arms over a proposed four-story 16-room hotel — called Hotel Healdsburg Residences — that would be segmented into three separate buildings at 400, 412 and 418 Healdsburg Avenue.

Windsor looking for representative to serve on vector control district

Believe it or not, controlling one of mankind’s smallest pests requires no small amount of collective action. In the North Bay region, threats posed by mosquitoes — which can spread diseases like the West Nile virus — are mitigated by the Marin/Sonoma Mosquito and Vector Control District, and the Town of Windsor is currently searching for applicants to serve as town’s representative on the board of trustees.
