Healdsburg woman makes masks for community members
Since the outbreak of COVID-19, many people in Sonoma County and around the world have taken to creating masks for healthcare workers, frontline personnel and community members. Longtime Healdsburg quilters Denise Feldman has put a pause on her quilt making to join the cause. She now makes between 15-20 masks a day, which she distributes from her front porch to community members.Â
Highlights from the Sonoma County Coronavirus Town Hall
The Sonoma County Coronavirus Town Hall, held on March 11, brought together the Chairperson of the Board of Supervisors Susan Gorin, interim Public Health Officer Dr. Sundari Mase and Christopher Godley, director of the Sonoma County Department of Emergency Management. The town hall was broadcast by KRCB Public Media and facilitated by Steve Mencher, KRCB’s news director. It featured questions gathered by email and phone from Sonoma County citizens.

State of the city: City budget looks good, room for improvement in affordable housing, connectivity
The state of the city of Healdsburg seems to have good footing, however there is room for improvement in regards to affordable housing, community and park connectivity, at least as reported by Mayor David Hagele during his State of the City address Feb. 14 at the Healdsburg Chamber of Commerce breakfast.
